Australian Nick Flanagan birdied six of his last eight holes, posting a final round of 65, to become the winner of the BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs golf tournament. By winning the seventh-annual tournament, Flanagan took home $117,000 and a brand new BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, the first automobile ever awarded to a Nationwide Tour winner. The tournament also posted its highest charitable return ever, raising more than $2 million dollars for area charities. It was not only a record for the tournament, but also set a new record for charitable giving on the Nationwide Tour.

BMW Donates Equipment to Spartanburg Schools
BMW Manufacturing has donated office supplies and computer equipment to Spartanburg County School District 2 for use in classroom programs. The donation, which was the idea of BMW Manufacturing Associates, included computer monitors, keyboards and overhead projectors that were no longer being used. The items, which will save the district thousands of dollars, will be used in individual classrooms across the district.
Annual Roadster Homecoming Set to Begin
Preparations for the 11th annual BMW Roadster Homecoming are in full swing as enthusiasts get ready for the three-day Labor Day gathering. The event takes place each year at BMW Manufacturing Co. in Spartanburg, S.C., the birthplace of every BMW Roadster in the world. Activities for 2007 include driving schools at the BMW Performance Center, a participant reception, banquet and brunch, a technical clinic and each day the Zentrum museum will host events. Saturday morning, September 1st, at the Zentrum is highlighted by a breathtaking panoramic photograph of all the participants and their vehicles.
