Performance Center

BMW's $12.5 million, 60,000-square-foot Performance Center is a training and delivery complex located on a 134-acre site on U.S. 101, near the factory.

The complex includes a vehicle delivery center, a driver safety-training course and a training/conference facility. At the delivery center, U.S. customers may take delivery of any BMW and receive specialized orientation on their new BMWs. The classroom area is used for operational and technical training for BMW staffers.

The driver safety-training course features a 1.7-mile driving course that is designed to create more than 35 driving experiences. Five separate areas are dedicated to skid pad, autocross and circuits for driver safety, accident avoidance and routine daily applications. The course is used for automobile and motorcycle driver training. A 1.3-mile “other roads course” focuses on the abilities of the X5 Sports Activity Vehicle.
